I am from India & practising law from last 30 years at Chandigarh India. I will be shifting to California, USA alongwith my children. How can I pursue my carrier in legal field in USA. What are options with me.

Are you thinking about taking the bar exam? If so, find out the requirements of the California bar exam and see if you have what it takes. That would be the main step in being able to practice.

Otherwise, what would be your residency status in the US? A paralegal job might be an option, but in all honesty law firms might not be so keen to pick up somebody with so much experience as a paralegal. Maybe you could pitch yourself as a consultant working for firms doing business in or related somehow to India?
