Hello Victorgc87, it depends really on the features that matter to you. There are a lot of bar preparation courses out there and all claim to be good.
The Themis bar preparation has the advantage of preparing for all bar exams. It is cheaper (USD 2395) than the LLM bar exam and has no hidden fees, altough its is solely online. Neverteless, you might be inspired by their
Money back guarantee. You also get a free repeat at 75% of attendance. Moreover, discounts are avalilable for Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity gets or If you have job offer in Public Interest with a salary less than $60,000. Themis is available for CA, NY, or WA.
Whilst the LLM bar preparation is more expensive (USD 4.500) than Themis bar exam and also asks for additional costs for materials although they are refundable. This I understand if you consider that the bar exam combines in-class and live streaming tuition. The LLM bar exam prepares for NY and CA bar exam only.
The LLM bar prep also offers a money back guarantee, though the free repeat is only available if you attend 95% of lectures and submit all homework. An advantage is
that it prepares specifically international students so it might be your choice. I believe they provide a great amount of personalized attention, too.
So depending on what learning style you prefer your choice may differ - Themis or LLM bar preparation? Please drop a line and let us know how you decided?

Hello Victor,
LLM BAR EXAM has been preparing solely International LL.M. students for over 6 years. Themis on the contrary until the last fall had nothing to offer for International LL.M. students.
However as more and more students now come to the US every company is now allegedly offering some sort of LL.M. "extra work" Program but they are nothing more than a repackaging of their JD Program.
I guess everyone wants a bite of the apple.
I think that the main reason why the pass rate is going down is that Bar Review companies are lowering their prices to attract more students into their course. As such to compensate they are all moving away from the old style classroom sessions and daily homework to contain costs.
LLM BAR EXAM is still offering those things and limits their enrollment to maximize its service to their students.
If your goal is to spent as little as possible I would buy used books online and hopefully you are very test oriented and able to make it. If instead you are looking for a course that gives you lots of practice a personal tutor and is designed specifically for LL.M. students LLM BAR EXAM is really the only option.
Good luck with your search and let us know if you pass the exam!
