I learnt from some friend that Indian Law Graduates with three year LL.B. degree are allowed to sit in NY Bar Exam without any addditional 20-credit hour requirements since it is a common law country and with three years degree it meets with the durational equailance. I am not sure what do they mean by substantially equivalent.
I would request to be guided based on your experience having done this exercise with NY Bar Office.
Shall greatly appreciate if someone having undergone this exercise can guide me whether I would be certified eligible to sit in the exam without 20-credit hours additional qualifications in US Law school. Thanks

NEED URGENT HELP AND GUIDANCE:
Since application filing date to sit in NY Bar Exam approaching fast and I being not very sure whether eligible to sit in the Bar exam or not, I need urgent help and guidance whether anyone in my situation applied for evaluation and certified as eligible to sit in the exam.
I talked to the Bar Office on phone and they said they can evaluate only on receipt of transcripts and if I feel I am eligible I can apply and then they will determine about eligibility.
I passed LL.B. with three years class room attended programme in First Division and durational aspect is fully covered. I filed transcripts with LSAC for admission to LL.M. and they have certified my qualification is equaivalent to US law degree and written "superior". While discussing with NY Bar Office, they said they will not get influenced by LSAC determination and they do their independent evaluation regardless of what LSAC has written.
Can anyone please help and guide me on this based on your experience and exercise in this process already done and result from NY Bar office.
Thanks
