Hi there,
I have recently completed my Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of London under graduate option (meaning I had an undergraduate degree prior to this so had to take less courses to complete the LLB), and it is a Qualifying Law Degree (QLD) for the UK.
I wish to sit for the NY Bar Exam and read on the NY Bar website that there is an evaluation for foreign graduates and that some may require to do a US LLM before sitting the bar exam. I wanted to get advice from anyone who has had the experience of applying for foreign degree evaluation for the NY Bar with similar credentials as me and if they had to do an LLM to be eligible? My understanding is that with a QLD I should be eligible to sit the bar exam?
Many thanks,
Z
