Dear all,
I am writing because I am truly stressed out about the NY Bar Exam requirements. Please note that my issue has NOTHING to do with the eligibility because I am sure that I have all the requirements. The only problem is that my application process was substantially slowed down due to bureaucratic issues. I was able to only submit all the documents in January. Has anyone before encountered the same situation? Will I be able to sit for the July exam?
I know that they indicate 6 months for the review of the documentation, but I am desperate at this point because have a job offer that requires me to sit before I start.
PLEASE HELP!

It took them about 8 months to clear my file and that was a long time before the pandemic, when everything just seemed to move faster. The BOLE takes a long time. I know of no tricks to speed this process up, I am afraid.

Thank you.
Did you get admitted to the session you had applied for or did you get delayed in taking the exam?

Hello! I was wondering if you were able to make it to the July exam, I am submitting my documents late as well, and I wonder if there is any hope for me.

Hi! I’m in the same situation. I submitted my documents late October, I was just wondering if you made it. How long did it take them to review your documents and the last day for them to determine if you are elegible (from what I understand is June 15)

Hi... I have the same problem for the July 2024 - did any of you have any updates on what happened? Really grateful for your updates!

Hi! They review my documents before the 6 month mark and asked me for additional information. Everything was settled before June 15.
For the July Bar 2023 they were offering vouchers. In case you wanted to take the bar at a latter date you had until June 12 to withdraw your application, and they would let you sit for another exam. I don’t know if they’ll do this again.

Were you able to take the exam? I’m in the same situation for the February bar exam. BOLE received my documents on May 24th (deadline May 1st). Please if you can help me I would really appreciate. Thanks!
