Hi everybody!
I got a french master degree in law and just finished a LLM program in the UK.
I heard from several sources that such a curriculum would allow me to be eligible to sit the new york bar exam?
However, from what I read online, I got the impression that only a LLM in a ABA-accredited law school could qualify?
My idea is not to to search for a job in US but rather to improve my CV by adding this kind of qualification.
What do you think?
Thanks for your help.

hi to both of u...not sure if it is too late. you might have found your answers. so basically to sit the NY Bar Exam you need to have at least 3 years of law degree from a common law institution (such as LLB from the UK) - you then qualify for the bar exam. if you hold a Law degree from a civil law jurisdiction (like continental europe) your best bet is to do a LLM in the USA.
hopes this help!
