Hi there, I plan to apply at University of Waikato in NZ, mainly as they offer the specialized field of inigenous legal issues. Can someone comment on their experience?

It's quite a niche program, so I am not sure how many people who are out there with practical experience with it. I will say this: if you're looking for an indigenous law program, in that part of the world -- or if you plan on working in a legal capacity with the Māori people -- then this is really your only option.

The other great indigenous law programs are really the ones in the US: Arizona, Oklahoma, Tulsa... I think UVic in Canada has some Aboriginal law curriculum as well... One of these might be an alternative, depending on your goals and expectations.

Many thanks for your reply. I always held an interest for indigenous law. An LLM in the US is not my favourite but I'd consider the Indigenous law program at University of Victoria in Canada. Many thanks for advising.I was not aware of them offering the program.
