I would like to know your personal points of views about the LL.M Master of Laws program offered by the University of Sydney in Europe.
I am really interested in this postgraduate program because it can be completed in 4 different countries on a part-time basis.(United Kindom (Cambridge), Germany (Berlin), Australia(Sydney) and Shangai) but I am not sure about the quality of the University.
Could you pleae give me your comments about this program?

I was looking at doing the same. Berlin is no longer offered (at least at the moment). Usyd is the oldest law school is Australia and to get in undergrad you need to be in the top 1% of the state so quality is definately not a problem (there are also numerous Prime Minisiters and High Court Judges making up the Alumni).

I don't think the subject in Shanghai is part of the Europe program. But I think you can still study it and count it towards an LLM. I checked and next year they're offering three subjects in Cambridge and one in Berlin. Sydney and Melbourne are the two best Law Schools in Australia. Melbourne doesn't have a program in Europe though.

Just on a general point, you guys might want to note that Australian Universities are generally very flexible in allowing students to undertake 1-2 courses in another university on a cross-institutional basis.
In other words, this means that as a Uni Syd LLM student you can always request to complete 1-2 courses at Uni Melb or a University overseas. The general rule is that the subject you want to study overseas must not be offered in the 'home' institution (i.e. USyd). Also, given the short duration of a LLM program, the amount of studies you can complete at an institution which is external to your 'home' universities are usually restricted to 1 - 2 subjects. This is of course subject to timetabling constraints. The onus is on the student proposing the external studies to do the necessary research and submit the necessary application forms.
Not sure if this information helps! :)
Cheers,
G
