Hello, everyone. I'm from China and recently became juior lawyer through passing the bar exam. Although I just graduated from university in this June, I have nearly worked in a reputable local law firm in Shanghai since last Nov.
I'm thinking expand my career in different places and countries and Australia is one of the best choice. Therefore, I have applied for ANU's JD program to achieve the degree and get admission to practice law in Au because I think the investment from China to Australia is growing rapidly and vice versa. Can anyone give me the kind opinion?

Not sure if you have obtained an offer to ANU but it is a good choice. Although ANU's Law school is not as prestigious as Sydney or Melbourne Law School, the institution (as a whole) generally has a good international reputation.
If i am not wrong, ANU would require to complete the entire JD program because your background is from a civil law country. If, however, you have a LLB from China then probably they might exempt you from the elective component (I am unsure on this aspect given they want students to complete LLM electives and your LLB from China may not suffice this requirement ).
In summary, good choice but do consider the fact that the Australian market has no shortage of local law graduates so they are generally preferred over foreign students. It would be best if you examine if you would qualify for a permanent residency visa after your studies (it would facilitate your job search).
Cheers,
G
