Hi,
I know this is a LLM forum, however I was hoping someone had experience in studying an Australian recognised law degree / subjects whilst living in the UK.
I have an undergraduate and Masters degree in humanities and I am working in the legal field. I am temporarily living in the UK, with an expected return date to Sydney in 2 years time.
I am interested in studying a part time GDL in the UK, however want to ensure I am not wasting time and money by doing subjects that won't be recognised for the purposes of exemptions when I am back in Sydney.
Alternatively I was thinking of commencing a JD by distance learning (eg with UNE I can sit exams in London), and then transferring to a Sydney based JD when back in Sydney. Distance learning is not my preferred learning style (let alone the difficultly and cost of sourcing the Australian texts here) however it does seem preferable to completing GDL subjects that are not recognised in Australia.
If anyone has any experience in this, your insights would eb greatly appreciated.

Hi
I'm trying to work out the answer to the above as well. Did you ever figure out which was better - UK GDL or off-campus Australian JD?
Thanks for your time
