There is a list of foreign degrees recognsied in India given in a website i.e lawstudent.in.

There are other good foreign Universities which are also reputed and recognised.So in case a student gets a degree from a foreign University which is not under the list,where does that leave the student then?What are the chances of that student?Please advise.

The only qualification to register on the rolls of the Bar Council of India is a degree from a recognised law college.
So, as long as you have a bachelors degree from a law college in India, which has been recognised by the BCI, there is no need to worry about your post graduation. But Under graduation is another matter all together though...

Can you please let me know, if there is a way of finding out whether the one year LL.M Program awarded by U.S. Universities are recognised as equivalent to the 2 year LL.M Degrees from India ?
I guess it is the U.G.C, which sets the guidelines regarding recognition of Foreign Degrees, however I am unable to get any information regarding this.
