Hi friends, I have very little finance and law background. I have registered myself for MBL 2011-13.

Query : Study Material & Exam Preparation Guidance:

I have received a book compiling previous exam QP's (without answers). Also, a small 30-50 pg supplement study material on each subject from the University for MBL - 1.

Further, I have been informed by the university that I shall receive revised material by this month. But, I doubt if this study material would suffice to appear confidently for the exam.

So, I request if anyone can guide me and others like me on following points:
1. Where to get appropriate study material (notes copies, author books, internet links, etc)
2. How to start preparation in this limited time frame of 4 months.
3. And any further guidance is welcome.

Also, can someone tell me what could be tentative dates for June-2012 Exams.

I just received soft copies of MBL-1 study material from a friend which is about 1500 pages as under:

Banking Law 296
Contract Law 349
Corporate Law 412
Environmental Law 199
Indistrial Law 277

I dont know how far these are updated but it seems quite sufficient for exams. And yes, I shall soon start with 2 subjects for now, so that I can be get a clear stand by until june.

Dear all ... 1st of all sorry for not posting @ LLM Guide for long...... good to see that so many new fellow friends have joined/ want to join this course... I have received a couple of e-mails from aspiring students....

I have just given MBL-1 exam this June and here are some tips for preparation (specially for students with CS background)....

1) Just focus on the study mat
2) Concentrate on the case laws (they ask too many of them in the exam)
3) The paper is totally different from CS/ B.com papers .... The minimum marks for one question that can be asked for in MBL paper is "8" and maximum can be "15"... So please bid goodbye to objectives and short answers..... :P

Since this was my first attempt I found it a bit difficult as I was not very accustomed with such long answers....

Please refer to my previous post and hope you will get an idea about the suggestions that I have given to my fellow CS friends....

Well It is not that tough to concentrate on CS and MBL simultaneously since 3-4 subjects are common...The only part which in uncommon is the pattern o question ..... For ICSI its more practical oriented, objective and short questions but NLSIU focuses more on lengthy thoritical questions.... I didnt find it difficult but a bit unusual as I was not very much habituated answering such lengthy answers....

well i have just appeared for the MBL course and very exited for the same , i understand that it is not the easy course but as well i am not doing anything else i think i should be able to do justice with it

2. is study material online of by physical books ,
3. if it is physical books how much time it will take to reach me ..
