Hi kikko!
I just found another interesting program: http://www.llm-guide.com/university/117.
You study in the UK and in Singapore and get a UK LLM, not bad right. Only thing is I dont know anything about nottingham as a place to live..

Hello!
I am also looking for an interesting LLM-program! Also thought about Hong Kong...heard that deadline for application is june, does anyone know when the course is going to start then? Is it supposed to be a "hard" course? A friend of mine did a LLm in London and did not see much of the city and social life as he had to study ALL THE TIME!

Hello Melli!!
There are 2 Universities in Hong Kong that organize LLM in Law taught in english...
One is the Hong Kong University and the second is the City Hong Kong University.
The dead line is 28 february for HK UNI. and 25 JUNE for CHK UNI:
The courses starts both in september 2005.
I just finished to apply to 2 masters at the hong kong univ...
I will apply to the City HKL Univ aswell.. but there is still time for that one.
What about u?? where are u from?
About the fact if it will be difficoult or not.. well.. i have no idea... but i think i's not too stressy... it should be a 300 hours of lectures...

Hi Chicco!
I am from germany and have just finished my law examination...28th of Feb. as a deadline is too short!! Won`t be able to do a TOEFL test in a few days....What a pitty! Or do you think I can give them just "something" to "save" my application and give them all the other things they need some weeks later? I might just call them...Is it as complicated to apply as it is for the univ. in the US? What do I need to hand in? Have you translated all your achieved law grades or just your final examinationform? In english or chinese? Do we also need reputations of our profs? STRESS!Melli

Hello Melli,
i don't have a TOEFL certification too.... I just told them that my english is good and i will send them the certificate next may, when ETS has planned the next TOEFL test examination
U can apply on line, then u need to send them 2 letters of reference and the accademic transcrip of all your accademic course, wich means a normal certificate with listed all the exames u have passed. I attached to it a translation i have personally done.
I did apply for the Master of LAW and the MASTER OF LAW IN CHINESE LAW. I am also applying to the city university of hing konf's masters.. but the deadline in this case is 25 june 2005.. so..still time!
About the hong kong university.. well.. the deadline is 28 february... but they also say that they will accept late applications in case of vacancies.. and i think they are not gonna be full booked, so i would give a try anyway... it will cost u about 30 euros (300 hKdollars) for each application u intend to send...
How old are u?
I'm 26, from italy, Male.
i have posted my emails in the previous messages on this board, if u want to contact me in a faster way!

Hello Chicco!
So sorry to answer late, but had some private trouble, went on a short holiday and was then ill for nearly 10 days - guess that`s life, ey?! Anyway, I called Univ of HK and they gave me some more time....thank good! I really hate these application deadlines! I´m also thinking about going to London or the States, such as New York, LA, San Fran. or san Diego? Have never been to the westcoast of the states though. But just realize haven`t been to HK either;-) But somehow I think it would be a good choice to go there...I was in Shanghai for three month last year and I really enjoed THAT! So maybe HK is similar...
By the way, I am female, 28 and from germany .
Bye-bye for now!

Hello Melli,
yes, i love Shanghai too!!!
Hong Kong is a great city too and Beijing as well.
I have already applyied to the Hong Kong university and i am in the process to apply at the City HK univ. and to the Tsinghua University in Beijing.
I also tought of doing a master in england or in the states... and of course it sounds really nice too... but i really like the idea of doing a master in chinese law, becosue not many people has such a competence in europe.
I like the idea to study something not nearly nobody has studied before...
I have taken already some contact in HK and Beijing and i think it's much easier to contact people in china then in the usa.... becosue in china everything is still to be "discovered" while in the usa everything is already knowen and it's harder to find a space for u.
anyway...
what did u do in Shanghai for 3 months?
and what do u do right now? working?? or just enjoying holiday after graduation?
