I have just been admitted to the Master of International and european law in the China-EU school of law. Are there any other european students enrolled in that master for september 2011? What do you think of that Master for those who have already followed it ?

Hello, I have also applied for this program for this year, BUT I still haven't heard from the University yet. So, I was wondering if you can tell me how did you receive your acceptance letter? and how long did it take from the application day until you got your response? I'm a little bit anxious.

I received a mail confirming that I was admitted to CESL last week from the secretary of the cesl admission Comittee. The mail also sayed that I will soon receive the official admission letter by post. But I haven't received this letter yet.

When did you send your application documents ?

I think that I waited two or three weeks between the end of my application and the reception of the email of admission. But it was not easy because, first, they did not received all my documents, I had to send twice the recommandation letter, I had also a lot of problems with their mailbox which didn't work...so I have to contact them very frequently to solve these problems (by phone or email). It is maybe why I had a quick answer.

Don't hesitate to contact them in order to know if they have correctly received your application documents or to know the decision of the codeans.

But don't worry ! contact them and let me know!

My name is Maria and I'm from Argentina.
I guess we are all waiting for the same. At least we know that the first day of class is on August 29th and that we should arrive two weeks prior to that date.

how did you know the day of the beginning of the classes?? I didn't know it !! Are we obliged to arrive to week before the 29 august??

I've got a response from CESL office in Hamburbg, as follows:
"The first lecture will be on Monday, August 29th. I recommend to arrive at least 2 weeks earliear for organizational issues and assimilation.
Unfortunately, there will be no preparatory summer school this time.

Hello Elise, I haven't received anything yet, I'm worried about the 202form. I hope we receive that with enough time to apply for the chinese visa. I have already booked my flight but I'm afraid I won't receive the form on time.

Maria, When are you living ? I thing I will arrive in beijing between the 20th or 22th August, I can't arrive sooner, but I haven't booked my flight yet. I have just asked CESL to send me a course schedule in order to plan my round trips between beijing and France.
yes I think I will live on the campus, I understood that every foreign student has a place on the campus. It looks more pratical because CESL is in the suburb of Beijing and moreover, it could be easier to meet others students. What is your opinion ? Are you going to stay on the campus or are you looking for a flat next to the university. Are there any flats near to CESL ?

I will be arriving on saturday 20th but I have already checked the hotel Christian from European CESL office recommended BUT there are NO availability for that weekend!! What should we do? I'm already searching for nearby hotels.
I will stay on campus at least for the first couples of months.

Do either of you know about the China Scholarship Council application procedures? Our letter referred us to that site to see about additional funding, but according to what I read when I was finally able to access the site, the deadline for that was back in April?! I did email the school, but haven't gotten a response back:(

No. This whole process is so frustrating and the communication is terrible. I am really hoping that things get more organized soon. If the actual program is this chaotic I don't know if I'd survive!

I hope things start running smoother in the near future.
