I'm starting this thread to track admissions to the LLM program at HKU for 2021-2022.

1) Did anyone already receive an offer? I am aware that the FAQs state that applicants will be notified of the outcome of their applications as soon as late April, but this seems fairly late for foreign applicants.

2) Can anyone comment on the extent to which the current political situation and covid have an impact on daily life in HK?

I just got an offer for LLM Chinese Law! But there is generally such a lack of information on the course and I do worry that the current political situation will affect course content. I'm currently in the UK so not sure whether covid restrictions will relax by the start of term and HKU hasn't really communicated their plans on how teaching will be delivered... .

I applied for the General LLM but didn't receive a response so far. They also didn't respond to a question I asked months ago regarding my application.

May I ask how you received your offer? Did you get an e-mail or just checked the HKU Portal?
