Hello people!!
Was wondering if any of you wonderful people out there could enlighten me on student accomodation options in Singapore (other than Gilman Heights).
REASON: The Law Faculty at NUS, I am told is a half hour bus ride from Gilman Heights. To make things worse I am informed that there are no direct buses from Gilman Hts to the Faculty of Law...am told that one has to interchange buses. Please do correct me if I am wrong.
Look forward to receiving the necessary enlighment.
Thanks and regards,
Ajay Thomas

Hi ajay.this caharan from chennai admitted to the corporate and financial servicescourse.dint u get the mail from the faculty about the other accomodation options?
nyways there is this place called evans lodge close to the campus but gilman is the best option according to me for more reasons than 1.secondly there are internal shuttles plying from the old campus to the new campus...n its mentioned in the website as well....gilman to the old campus is not too far...so being connected is not much of a problem.dont worry...i was going thru the same thing but c'mon ur a mumbaikar...this travelling in an a.c bus shud be dead meet.:-)

Hey Charan!
At the outset many congratulations on your admit to the Corp. & Fin Services LL.M.Thanks a lot for the enlightment.Did check out the website of Evans Lodge...the rooms are so damn small..too claustrophobic for my comfort. Will follow your advice and stick to Gillman Heights. What 's your acco plan ? R you also gonna be putting up at Gillman?Hey ..u said you from Chennai....am actually flying out from Chennai on the 29th...that's subject to me receiving the IPA ltr before that....Hmm.???
You are right as regards the Mumbaikar thing...having travelled by the Mumbai Local trains for a couple of years and lived to tell the tale.....I guess travelling in Singapore should be a breeze.
Pakalam for now!!

Vanakkam!!
Actually am a Goan-Malayali. Picked up a little of Tamil from my Senior in the profession who's a Tambram. I graduated from the V.M. Salgaocar College of Law at Miramar, Goa. Called to the bar in 2003...roughly 3 years in the profession.... Practiced mainly on the Original Side of the Bombay High Court. As I am typing this msg...my Mom tells me that a Courier Co. just called saying that there was a Courier for me from Singapore. I hope and pray it is the IPA Letter.......Saranam Ayyappa Swamy Saranam Ayyappa!!..Praise be to the good Lord.!!
So I guess its time to say " Hello Singapore!!"
Pakalam!
