2nd LLM at NYU/CLS/HLS??

Hi guys,

I was wondering what people thought about the value of an additional LLM, as I am seriously considering doing one.

To tell you about me very briefly- I obtained an LLB in Law with Hispanic Studies from the University of Sheffield (2.1) and an LLM in Public International Law (Distinction) from UCL last september. At the moment I am working as a clerk in the Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Court. Prior to this I was doing another internship in the Human RIghts Institute of the International Bar Association. I finish at the ICC in July, after which I am going to Argentina for 6 months to work at the CEJIL, a legal NGO that litigates before the Inter-American Court of Human Rights.
All of these experiences have been/will be great, but I do miss academic study and I am thinking about doing a 2nd LLM in the future....I thought about doing a Phd, but have no burning desire to go into research/academia ( I actually want to be a barrister!), but I hope to explore some issues in a second LLM that I am interested in and did not get to look at during my 'general' LLM at UCL. More specifically I would like to acquire a further specialisation in HRs/envt/security issues....

Right, sorry for the long intro, just wanted to give you a bit of background...so my questions are:
1) is it worth doing a 2ND LLM
2) if so, which of these 3 schools do u recommend?
3) what do you think my chances are of being admitted? and with a scolarship?

Oh, I'm 23 by the way, if that makes any difference...

Thanks in advance!!

I think its a personal decision....I have one from the University of London...but Im doing another ..Ive got admission in Penn, waiting on NYU, Harvard, Stanford and Michigan...in my view its another step towards my developing authoritative expertise in my area of concentration as well as the personal development aspect of it...but this is ofcourse my personal take on the issue...there are some who hold the view (and rightly so from their perspective) that even one LLM isn't required.
