The Law School

Developing world-class lawyers in one of the world’s great cities

Since 2003, Koç University Law School has aimed to nurture creative and sophisticated lawyers with its content-rich courses in public law, private law, and its core program. The Law School owes its success to its underlying vision, targeting not only to build a connection between public policies along with bureaucracy, business circles and economy, social development, progress in the field of information technology, and the field of law, but also to contribute to the legal policies through carrying out multidimensional academic endeavors.

The Law School provides a high level of proficiency in national law topics with its courses lectured in Turkish. However, more than 30% of the total courses offered with international content are lectured in English, thus international career opportunities are available to all students. The law school works to instill professional ethic values in its graduates, thus enabling them to work in all fields of law - public or private - without exception.

Our approach

Our aim is to recruit the best students, work with the best faculty and prepare our graduates for distinguished and remarkable professional positions. Being a small university means that our faculty-student ratio enables proper time for supervision, teaching and research.

At Koç University Law School we value co-curricular activities, by way of which the students are able to take part in national and international projects led by our scholars. Students participate in programs based on innovative learning awards, case-law groups, introductory seminars on the university life and the legal profession, certificate programs, and summer schools offered on the basis of our international cooperation agreements.

The Program

The Law School offers non-thesis programs as well as thesis programs. The thesis program is composed of 3 core courses followed by 4 elective courses and is concluded with a thesis. The non-thesis program is composed of 10 courses and a final paper.
