NYU and Columbia host annual meetings between international LL.M. students and prospective employers

Two of the most-anticipated events of each academic year for LL.M. students in the United States are the International Student Interview Program (ISIP) at New York University (NYU) and the Columbia Overseas-Trained LL.M. Student Interview Program. These events are open ONLY to foreign lawyers currently enrolled in full-time LL.M. programs at sponsoring law schools. Both the NYU and Columbia events will be held on January 25-26, 2008.

The NYU ISIP brings together over a thousand foreign-trained law students from 32 law schools with over a hundred employers with jobs and internships in 36 countries, including the United States. Students typically submit their registration materials and resumes months in advance, and employers select the students they wish to interview.

The Columbia event is co-sponsored with six schools. Like the NYU event, it consists of a pre-screened interview process where employers select LL.M. candidates to interview.
