Leading "Law and Economics" professor speaks on October 11

Richard A. Posner, senior lecturer at the University of Chicago Law School and US Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals judge, will deliver the "Distinguished Jurist Lecture" at the Levy Conference Center at the University of Pennsylvania Law School on Wednesday, October 11, 2006. The lecture is scheduled to begin at 4:30 pm and will be followed by a reception.

Posner has written a number of books, including "Economic Analysis of Law," which remains an influential text in the field of Law and Economics. His latest book, "Not a Suicide Pact: The Constitution in a Time of National Emergency" was published earlier this year.
