Hi all
I have a JD [but not yet qualified as an attorney] from Hong Kong, a common law jurisdiction and the CA Bar confirmed to me that once i got a one-year LLM in US, i can take the General Bar Exam.
Therefore I'm planning to take a LLM in a ABA-approved school such as UCLA, UC-Berkeley, UC Davis and U of San Diego in next year.
However, i read many posts here that LLM market is dead in US even though we passed the Bar, and JD is definitely a wiser choice.
But the thing is i have spent 3.5 years in my JD and don't want to get another JD which is most likely take me another 3 years or even 2 years is too long to me.
Here is there any CA lawyers who have LLM but not JD that may share your experience?
Thanks so much!
