Hi, I am considering preparing an application for Harvard Law School to undertake an LLM. Before I do so, I would just like to ascertain my chances of being admitted to HLS and to survey the typical Harvard LLM student.

I hold a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree (Commercial Law), a Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies, a Diploma in Finance Law, a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB), a Barrister-at-Law Degree and I am Attorney at Law qualified in the State of New York. I have three years experience as a paralegal with a large and prestigious U.S. asset manager and I have one years post qualification experience as an in-house lawyer in the same U.S. asset manager. The next step in my career is to relocate permanently from London to New York and work in an in-house role there within asset management or investment banking. I am also contemplating spending some time in private practice. To do so, I feel I require some academic exposure to U.S. law and that is why I think the LLM in Harvard would be the best option given the courses it offers in Mergers and Acquisitions, Capital Markets, Investment Law, Corporations etc.

On the basis of my academic and professional qualifications and experience, what are my chances of getting into Harvard law School?
