Is there anyone have obtained the Ad information from Virginia School of Law? Or is there any related information?
I have been waiting for quite a long time after receiving the completion letter.

I know that one of my schoolmate got the admission several weeks ago. And rejection is sent at the same time. If you haven't got any news, maybe your under the consideration.
Anyway, no news is good news.
Bless you.

How is the study environment in Virginia? I heard the course there is a little different from those of other US university, is that true?
Posted Mar 16, 2006 09:39
I got my admission letter a month and a half ago. I suppose they send all admissions individually (unlike, for instance, Yale).
Posted Mar 16, 2006 23:51
It is possible that Virginia starts to send new admissions next March 20. The above mentioned, because the dead line to make a decision expire that date for the accepted students.
Good luck

I will decline Virginia's offer tomorrow.

me too

Is there a deadline for admitted students? I got the admission nearly one months ago, but didn't find any notice about the deadline. Am I missing something?
Posted Mar 17, 2006 03:10
I think the deadline to pay the deposit and secure your position is March 20. At least mine is.
Posted Mar 17, 2006 03:18
Many thanks, LLM_06.
May I know where did you find the deadline? The Law School just sent me an short email notice and sebsequently a formal letter of admission with exactly the same information. They do not even mention the deadline thing.

I am now starting to worry. Is there any new information?

Hi I just received an admit to virginia this morning... I think they have started giving the second round of offers...
Posted Mar 22, 2006 15:38
Hi! I received mine yesterday ... so for sure the "second round" had started.... what are you planning to do about the financial aid? did u ask for some?
Posted Mar 22, 2006 15:49
yeah i definitely need financial aid to study, so if i dont get any i think i'll have to work for a year or so... they have said they are not sure how much they can give me (if any at all)... and can only let me know once they get a complete picture of the full need of aid... what about you? have you asked for aid?
Posted Mar 22, 2006 15:57
I am in your same situation and received identical answer from UVA. They can t tell in advance how much $ they can give to each one of the students applying for financial aid (FA). The only thing that worries me is that I must accept or decline the offer of georgetown next week and my decision depends on wether I get some FA in UVA or not....

I got my admission email yesterday. However, I will go to Oxford (Mjur). What a pity, but you have to make decisions in life!
Maybe it is good news for somebody else who is placed on the waitlist. Hope there is a waitlist...
Best Daniel

Congratulations on your acceptance to U of Va., Univ. Penn and Oxford. We'll all miss your contributions here in the US but I know that Oxford is the greatest.
I know that there are a few more schools on your list so keep us informed if you change your mind.
Sorry to not have you here on this side of the pond. I for one have benefited from all your posts in the last year.
Best of Luck,
