USC Gould vs. Cornell

Hello All,

I have received LLM admits to Cornell and USC Gould; $15k scholarship at Gould, none at Cornell. I have a tough time deciding between the two colleges. Weighing in all the options - cost, job prospects, etc - which is better?

I would greatly appreciate any comments.

Thanks!

The rankings favour Cornell but I like USC. I've never understood why USC doesn't rank higher. My friends who went to Gould all (yes, every single one) found jobs right after law school- they did better than my friends who went to UCLA. Cornell is (just barely) an Ivy and ranks higher but it's also boring and freezing. USC isn't in a nice part of LA, UCLA has a much better location, but the Trojan network is very powerful in SoCal. Trojans help their own. That matters more for the JD, I know, but it still matters. It really depends on what your career goals are. What are your plans?

Hi,
I don't know if it can be helpful for you but when I refused the admission offer at Cornell they offered me a scholarship, that they originally didn't offer to me.
Good luck in your decision!
