Hey guys,

I am planning on taking an LLM at a top US law school in 2015/2016. My main focus will be corporate law and m&a.
Apart from an internship at a leading intenational law firm, I have no working experience and will be finishing my LLM in the Netherlands this year cum laude.

My goals after finishing the LLM will be practising law at an international top legal firm in corporate law in the Netherlands. This means I do not aspire working in the US as a corporate lawyer (apart from a summer internship of some kind).

I will apply to Columbia law and Penn law (if admitted to Penn and choose to go there, I will go for the wharton certificate as well). My first question is this. Which one of these two LLM is the best program for corporate law? Which program suits my interests and goals best?

Additionally, NYC seems more exciting and vibrant than Philly. I have been to Philly many times (did a year liberal arts studies half an hour drive from Philly), and from what i've heard there the social life in Philly is inferior to NYC. Furthermore, i have a scholarship ready at Penn Law at 40K, which could make a difference for my choice, but its not the only weighing factor.
My question, regarding my background and goals, which one of these two programs suits my interests best?

And with corporate law, considering the extra time and money to apply to harvard, is it worth applying to the harvard LLM as well? Or is Penn or Columbia sufficient for me?

Thanks a lot in advance for your input!

Best regards
