I've just learnt from a lawyer who works closely with the LS that the phone calls should begin by Thursday. I was also surprised to hear that faculty members have to unanimously agree on each of the circa 25 students. This particularly makes it very tough to get in. Additionally, not all applicants are presented to them; there's a preliminary screening stage.

So, I guess the rejection letters have already been written and signed in many cases (hope I'm not in this batch).

since thursday is pretty much over in my part of the world- i was wondering if anyone has in fact heard from Yale? the wait is quite painful!

I haven't heard anything...has anyone? I got all the other schools i applied for but really want Yale. I guess I was just being greedy! Not holding out hope at this point however, as Thursday is basically over and I've heard nothing. IW
