Has anyone applied to a UM LLM program? If so, what program have you applied to? Also, have you heard anything?

Their website said one could apply via LSAC's service but according to LSAC, UMiami has yet to post their application on the LSAC system. I would have applied. Debating whether to call or bite the bullet and ask recommenders to submit directly to the school.

Congrats, tburtn88!! I'm still waiting to hear from others but I'm strongly considering UMiami Heckerling Institute Estate Planning LLM. Not sure whether to do that or UM Tax LLM and take a bunch of Estate Planning classes. Maybe I'll see you in Miami.

I've heard great things about both the Estate Planning and Tax program at UM. I considered doing the Estate Planning LLM, but I decided I wanted to be a little bit more broad since I was not dead-set on doing estate planning.
Best of luck in your applications. Let me know if you decide on Miami!

Hey tburtn88 - I decided on GULC--it's local to me so I can go part time and it has the Estate Planning Certificate. Everyone around here has GULC Tax LLM and Estate Planning Certificate. UM would have been my second choice, however. I would have had to go full time and relocate for 10 months, but the savings in tuition probably would have been worth it!
I think you'll have a great time in Miami!
