I was rejected by UF, but given the opportunity to have my application reconsidered in 30 days explaining why reconsideration is warranted. Has anyone been accepted this route?
UF Tax Request for Reconsideration?

I haven't heard any from that, but it seems like they wouldn't do it if they didn't think you had a shot or if they never accept any on reconsideration.
This is off-topic from your question, but my application at UF is submitted but I haven't heard anything yet. How long did it take to process after you submitted?

I submitted my materials on 3/13, and I presume went complete near the end of March. (I never received an email indicating that my file was complete, just an email indicating that I was missing my LSAC examination report, which I promptly forwarded near the end of March.) I know people that applied back in January who haven't heard anything though. So, my feeling is that if it has been a while since you've applied, you're a hopeful candidate and not an auto-reject. Hope this helps.

yea, thanks for the response. I submitted everything at the end of March, so I'm not real sure if it's even complete yet. Just wanted to see how the turn over time was for you. From what people on the internet think the admissions criteria is, I think I should be good at UF and GULC, and possible at NYU.

Do you think it is a good idea to call/email Admissions and ask what they would like to see in the "Request for Reconsideration" letter?

Asking would never hurt. The admissions people were quite kind when I talked with them on the phone.

Did you submit your reconsideration? Did you call and see what they are looking for in a reconsideration letter? I received the same letter but have not responded because I really cannot think what else I can offer. My 30 days are about to expire and UF is the only school I sent my application. I visited Gainesville and LOVED the city.
