UF LLM Decision

I recently submitted my completed LLM in Taxation application to UF. How long does it generally take to get a decision for them?

My application went complete last year, so I don't know how is the timeline these days, but back in 2008, they took just a few days after the completion.

Good Luck!

I completed my file in November, they asked for my updated transcript which I sent in February and got my acceptance in Mid March. So my road wasn't normal I suppose

Wow that is amazingly quick. May I ask you if it was good news? If so, what were your credentials like? I have 2.5 years of big law corporate experience, including a substantial amount of tax credit transaction experience. I was a magna cum laude, Order of Coif graduate and Top 5% graduate from a school at the top of T2. In addition, after my first year I was Top 1%. Let me know what you think of my chances.

I was admitted. Your stats are better than mine, though I was at a T1 school (not top 20) and on law review. Like you, I had a few years relevant work experience in tax.

It took two weeks for mine, and only one letter of recommendation was in at that point. I think it depends on how close your application is to an admissions committee meeting.

My application went complete on January 13.
At that time, Dean Friel, the director of the tax program was in China and didn't come back until January 20. I received an acceptance letter dated January 23.
I keep my fingers crossed for you. (and some toes too..)

I just called the Grad. Tax Office and received word that my application is complete. It was probably complete as of Wednesday, April 1. I hope I receive good news shortly.

FWIW, I emailed them today and they responded. The lady that processes applications has been on vacation. I'm not sure if this would affect your application if it's already complete, just thought I'd pass on the info.
