I can't speak for UCLA, USC, or U. Sydney, but here at the University of Hawaii, we have 10-15 students who are fully integrated with the American J.D. students, actively participating in classes, student orgnizations and activities. We also have special events for our LL.M. students to enable them to get the most out of their year with us. For example, our LL.M. students are able to meet U.S. Supreme Court justices in our "Jurist in Residence" Program every two years.
Since we are the only law school in Hawaii, our students enjoy many opportunities to network with our Judiciary, State and Federal agencies and the legal community downtown. In fact, one of our LL.M. students last year did an externship with a Federal Judge, and has since transferred into our J.D. Program.
Thanks for your interest in our LL.M. Program!
Aloha

Brother... I am both a surfer and a lawyer and I must say your decision is not easy.. hawaii.... best surfing ever... califormia... never been there... but Oz... gives you two things... high quality surfing and very good education.... I mean... we have to graduate with honors not only in school, but also in life and if I where on your shoes... I would go to sidney.
