How should a turn down email look like?

Last year, I sent faxes/ e-mails to the admissions offices of the schools whose offers I turned down saying that I appreciated their offer but I had decided to go to NYU. Mentioning where you´ll go is optional, but I suppose it is useful for them to know who their main competitors are.

I also sent CLS e-mail, telling them I appreciate the time they took to review my application, but that I had chosen to go to NYU.
