Temple v. Villanova - Tax

LRWRower

I've been admitted to both Villanova and Temple's Grad Tax programs. Of course, I'm holding out for Georgetown or Florida (no word yet on those applications), but if it comes down to deciding between Villanova and Temple, which is the better program? I'm looking for a general feel as to which program has more name-recognition and better hiring records at time of graduation.
Thanks!

I have never heard of either, but they are ranked almost similar on the US News list. This is probably a question some people from Philly and/or tax alumni may answer.
I will cross my fingers that you get into Georgetown. That would be a fine choice.

63. Villanova University (PA)
65. Temple University (Beasley) (PA)

Villanova is much better known for tax law than Temple. Villanova's tax program is in the top 20 nationally. Temple can't boast such a ranking. Temple is known much more for their trial advocacy program (which might be the best in the country). Also, for what it is worth, Villanova is on the very nice Main Line (a series of suburbs right outside of Philly that are very wealthy) while Temple is in a rough neighborhood in Philadelphia. I would choose Villanova if I were you.

Thanks for the advice! I actually got into Georgetown and Florida after posting this question, and I'm headed to D.C. in the fall.
