There are quite a few posts on this board concerning LL.M. admissions for this year, but I haven't seen many specifically dedicated to domestic students.
Has anyone heard anything from NYU, Florida, or Georgetown?
I received an admissions offer from Georgetown last week, but I haven't heard anything from NYU or Florida.

when did you apply?
do you mind sharing your stats?

Sure, I don't mind sharing.
I went complete at all three schools the first week of February.
As far as stats, I'm top 10 percent at a third tier school, on law review, and I've taken four tax classes with avg grades around B+.
What about you? You apply to those three programs?

@taxman349 Congrats on your admissions to Georgetown. I applied to all of three of those schools and was admitted to all three. However, my applications were completed in October. I found out from UF and Georgetown in November and NYU in January.
Based on the credentials you provided, I believe your chances of getting into UF and NYU are very good. I am in the top 20% at the University of Florida with A's and B+s in tax classes. Based on the number of applications each school is receiving, I would assume that it may take at least a month for the admissions committee to reach a decision on your application. Further, each school is likely to wait a little longer to hear the status' of admitted students in order to determine how many seat are still available in the class.
Once again congrats on Georgetown and best of luck on the other two programs. Keep me posted on what happens.

Thanks for the well wishes and information regarding your application experience. Also, congrats on being admitted to all three programs. Any idea where you'll attend?
As for the time it takes to reach a decision, I was honestly shocked by how soon I heard from Georgetown. From what I understand, Florida typically takes anywhere from 4-6 weeks to reach a decision (at this stage in the process) from the time the application is complete, and NYU may not send out another round of decisions until after the April 1 application deadline.
I'll definitely post updates as I hear from the other schools. I visited this message board plenty of times when I was considering applying to LL.M. programs, so I think it's only right that I share my experience along the way.

@taxman349 - I am planning on attending NYU. My fiance lives in NYC and as far as the "rankings" go, NYU is at the top (not sure how much that means though). However, Florida is a great program with a fantastic faculty. I believe UF is the only tax program in the country with a full time tax faculty. Therefore, while NYU and Georgetown faculty's are comprised of adjuncts, UF's professors have been around for a long time and taught the curriculum for many years. The good news is that I don't think you can go wrong with any of the three tax programs.
