Thanks. But no one mentioned any admission decision.

it may well be the case that the successful applicants are not active on this forum. it would not be logical for them to put people on waiting list before giving out any offers.

Yes you might be right. But no rejection either
Posted Mar 18, 2017 19:12
You're right, the timing is a bit odd, it seems weird to waitlist before sending out acceptance and/or rejections..
Posted Mar 18, 2017 19:44
anyway, i'm honestly quite pessimistic about not having received any news. i think it means i have probably been rejected (i would of course be delighted if i am wrong and i receive some good news next week). i think the sequence is: 1) give out offer; 2) notify those who have been waitlisted; 3) notify all unsuccessful applicants. then it seems that the first two steps have been completed and it is only the third step that remains.

Or another option my friend i.e. The one who has not received any news might be evaluated for the other programs which they have already applied. I have applied for Spils and IELBP. May be I could not make it for SPILS but they may be considering my application for IELBP. That is why they have not sent the rejection. But I agree that we probably could not make it for SPILS

that is a possibility. but i would think they communicate decision for each programme separately because they are technically separate applications (two application fees etc).

Hi, I have been admitted to SPILS and this happened last week. The interview was conducted a week before. Thought would let you guys know as many may be in a tricky place in terms of choosing their unis and may have deadlines. I can't guarantee 100% but I think all accepted applicants are intimated together.
Best,
Best,

Congratulations! Thank you very much for letting us know.
I guess that they release the decisions all together, since only 12 are accepted every year.
Can you please let us know the deadline to accept the offer?
Since I am in the wait list, at least I would have an idea of when I can hear something back from them.
Thank you!

Thanks SPILScandidate, the deadline is last week of April. I hope you hear positively from them. =)

I have yet to hear anything from Standford. May be I will go to UPenn without hesitation.
12 Candidates per yr are highly competitive; I would rather say that no good things happens to me!
