other graduate programs or JD programs.
So how to write?any advice?Thank you very much!!!!
here is an law school's requirement of LLM ps:Please tell us something about yourselfin particular, why you wish to pursue an LL.M. degree at ABC law school and how doing
so connects with what you have done in the past and what you plan to do in the future.

Hello :)
Normally, each school has its own requirements and the websites explain fairly clearly in my opinion the content your personal statements should have. Thus, I am not sure to understand your question properly.
If I refer to your example for instance, it's quite clear that the Law School wants to make sure that you have a clear mind about your future. In other words, your personal statement should reflect the fact that what you did in the past explains the reason why you want to attend this particular Law School and not another one, and point out what it would bring as to your future.
To do that, explain your past academic and professional experiences, why these experiences, what it brought to you, the event that made you realize you wanted to do or become "X" in the future for sure, and why it became clear to you that you had to go to this Law School in particular (courses, professors, special policy of the Law School or anything else) etc.
Needless to say, don't write something like: "I would be extremely pleased to attend your law school as it's one of the best in the US"...You have to make them realize it would be a chance to have you in classes, as a future alumni, and that their Law School exactly fits in your future plans.
Hope it helps a bit.
