Hi All,

I am planning to apply for LLM for 2012-2013 session. I have 6 years of work experience in Civil and commercial litigation. I have got good grades in law school as well. Now I want to LLM in corporate laws. As I have background in Litigation, how should I justify my inclination in doing LLM in corporate laws.

I know I have to convince them through my personal statement but without an actual experience in corporate laws, how can I justify my interest in shifting my field and how can I show that my previous experience supports my application for the course.

Any suggestions??

You could say you want to shift your career in that direction or that you would like to understand the corporate documentation side of things more.
