Hi there. I am an LLM applicant for 2013 Fall program. I've got confused about the style of personal statement.
I read a lot of books about law school application. Of course, they are all for JD application, since there aren't not many for LLM application (actually is there any such book?).
Those books all tell you to tell a vivid, convincing personal story in your personal statement, but it doesn't seems to apply for LLM's personal statement. Most schools ask LLM applicants to describe his/her backgrounds, academic interests, why LLM and the future plan. I personally really find it difficult to fit all the information into a short personal statement already, not to mention making a vivid story.
The personal statement for LLM application seems more like a statement of purpose in JD application. So, we should concentrate on logically fitting all required information into one piece of statement, without considering too much making it vivid or likable, right? (of course, it's the best if you can do the both)
What do you guys think?

Thanks. I just booked it. I should have searched LLM in Amazon earlier.
