Would I have difficulty finding a jon in NY after graduating from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution? Any graduates have any advice??

I don't think the Straus Institute will hinder your ability to find a jon in NY. I haven't been there, but I am pretty sure there are plenty

When I started my JD program two and a half years ago, I was interested in dispute resolution, but was told by professors that you need to do years of litigation before you can do dispute resolution. They claimed that to be effective, you need to be able to put pressure on the parties and you can only do that by understanding all the intricacies of litigation that come with years of experience so I gave it up. You should research this further, but I'm just giving you the information I received. I would love to do dispute resolution if it was an option. Instead, I'm off to become a tax attorney. Go figure!
