Hi all
Penn put me on the wait list and told me I am "in the highest levels of this group". Anybody was told the same? Do you think I might consider this as positive?

I have to correct myself... I probably misundestood the meaning of "you place among the highest levels of this group". It was referred to all the applicants, not only to the waitlisted. Maybe all the waitlisted candidates received the same email.
It can be inferred that is not positive....

Vear, thank you for answering.
Next week is too early for an answer from Penn, how do you know it?
On the site (FAQ) they wrote the deadline for confirming positions is May 1st. After that date they will begin to review waitlisted candidate's applications and start to offer positions after May 15th and continue through all the summer. They also will send us an update on June 1st.
So, according to the site, we have to wait at least 20 days from now.

Hey,
I am at Penn finishing up my LL.M, I guess I could speak to Derek Meeker, he is head of the admissions board if you want, by the way Penn is awesome, if you can get on the program you won't regret it!

I heard from Penn that desicions would start to be made on early May, I guess they do have to wait to see who rejects their offer but dont count on them reviewing your app thoroughly again, they have done so extensively by now, so I dont think it will take them too long after they have an idea of who is not going. Then again, I hevent seen their website so I might be completely wrong...

hope so Vear, I am quite tired to wait.
How many people do you think are in their waiting list?
Do you think they make a "region policy" in admitting candidtates? I mean, being Italian, do I have chances only in case of an Italian declines their offer?
