Hi,

I just applied to Penn Law and also completed the Human Rights Scholarship Essay. If I get admitted, hypothetically speaking, I will be in need of some financial assistance which is very rare to get from my country. So my question is this. As the human rights scholarship allocation is very limited (only 2 students a year), I understand that it is very competitive. So provided I don't get picked, will the mere fact that I completed the essay-which itself insinuates financial needs- play into consideration when the Law School distributes Dean Merit Award? Also, will strong extra curriculum activities coupled with Professional experience and financial needs play any major role in this Dean Merit Award? I will appreciate it very much if recipients of financial assistance from Penn Law can shed some light on this.

Thanks
