What's so special about NYU? They mainly accept anybody.

Well, that may be a little exaggerated. But they have a pretty big LLM program (I think more than 200 students), so chances aren't too bad.
What is special about NYU is that one can't deny that it is a good school (esp. for international law), it is in the heart of NYC, and they have some VERY interesting scholarships (Vanderbilt etc., with full tuition waiver or even tuition waiver plus a grant for living).

It is funny... This purpose of this thread was to say there is life beyond the Top 5 schools and now you are bringing back the same topics already discussed extensively in other threads... lol

Well, what I think is petty (and thus pity) in the other discussions is that they just go crazy about the rankings. And all this "Harvard vs. Columbia-Stuff". I can't stand it anymore. But that doesn't mean that there aren't some interesting things to know about some schools, no matter where they placed in the rankings - in this case NYU. And I just wanted to reply to the question "what is so special about NYU".

Whatever, guess you're right, let's get back to "a life beyond TOP 5".

If I am lucky enough to get accepted by one of these top schools great! On the other hand, I would be every glad to get accepted in other schools as well, I really do not care if it won't be Harvard.
