I've got admissions from both Schools. I'm undecided as to which one is more convenient for me. Could anyone tell me which choice is best for me? I'm aware that NWU is ranked higher than Illinois as a Law School. On the flip side, Illinois occupies a higher notch as a University in the Pekin Best World Universities Chart. Besides, Illinois LL.M. is extremely selective as they only offer 35 places for international students. Illinois likes pointing out that this narrow margin of LL.Ms. fosters better integration with JDs. Also, Its being nestled in a city-town, may considerably bring down the cost of living as compared to Chicago's Downtown Area. I ought to underline that Illinois enjoys good relations with my country (Dominican Republic). Another thing that must be said is that Illinois has recently signed an exchange agreement with Our Department of Higher Learning, which is conducive to promoting stronger ties with my Country.
I hope someone will cast some light on this matter.

During my MBA at Illinois, I personally transferred schools due to the fact that the town is built for 17-21 yr olds and, otherwise, a farm area at best. Chicago has more to offer and the contacts at NU will be far more proffessional, ie. all the bigger jobs, esp for part-time students, will be available in Chicago vs. small college town Champaign. Illinois is a great school. Sorry, phenom school. But I would suggest NU for its national/global name and location.
