Hi guys
I was told that application closing deadline does not mean LSAC reporting deadline - LSAC has a separate deadline to report.
Is that true??
thanks in advance

I hope too, I've just sent my transcripts to LSAC this week, and I got some deadlines on December 15th
So, as almost each university demands us to go through LSAC, or strongly advise to do so, we can assume that they will understand, and will accept reports from LSAC even after those deadlines
However, I really can't say that for sure, so if anyone has more news, or has already asked admissions office of universities, please tell us !

From my experience, Penn, NYU and Georgetown (for example) are willing to consider the submission of all materials to the LSAC as the deadline being met. NYU stated exactly that upon inquiry. Georgetown and Penn have been generous about their early submission deadline.
Good luck!
Good luck!

Can confirm this, at least in regard of CLS. Even though my LSAC report was received by the end of this month I will be considered for early review.

I think all law schools understand this delay so you should not worry once you have given them your LSAC number.

i have now received my LSAC credential analysis from LSAC - can anyone advise how long they would take to despatch reports once they are ready?
Posted Nov 29, 2010 06:46
In my case it took 24-48 h. Btw, upon receipt CLS confirmed that I made it to early review.
Posted Nov 29, 2010 14:38
Hopefully they send it out today!
I have sent a copy of the report to CLS anyway (which I doubt will help as they will want it from LSAC) - hopefully they can confirm I will make it for early review.

I was not aware of this issue until it was too late. Is it me or LSAC's website is pretty vague on the issue?
I submitted my application with LSAC just one day before the deadline. According to LSAC representatives, they transmitted everything electronically half an hour after I pushed the button, but my School says they have not received it and said something about having to wait 7-10 business days (which doesn't make any sense to me if everything is supposed to be electronic!). In any case, I am now finding the wait excruciating and hope that my chances are not blown away by a technicality.

Thanks Aki, it's true, if you've already paid the fee and completed everything else in the application, the school will wait for your LSAC report
well, at least I've seen that happen to some friends of mine wating for NYU and CLS decisions
And to Oldtimer, I agree. LSAC is not clear on their internal deadlines. When I called, however, they were kind to explain a little more than what is set out on the website.
Good luck to all.. lets keep on waiting! And sharing news about admissions ;)

Hey guys just a couple of questions for you.
I sent my transcripts over a month ago to LSAC and just today received a notification that they have been received. Does this mean that it will take another 2-3 weeks for them to evaluate them for my report to be sent to schools? If this is the case how will this work with a december 15th deadline looming? All of my applications have been submitted already online, but now I am somewhat concerned about this major lag in LSAC evauation time..
Thanks for any repsonses.
Cheers

Hi you guys!!!
I was roaming around questions and questions regarding all the procedures of LSAC and I am still stuck in one of them:
When you send to LSAC all your transcripts you should provide the originals + a certified translation of each transcipt OK?
There is also written that they don't want you to send the transcripts by yourself but it has to be done by the Institution/ University which issued the certificate. Tipically University tell you to mail them by yourself and do not want to send the transcripts for you. Moreover there are a lot of institutions which could issue transcripts and in my case some of them are in another country ( for example expereinces abroad ).
I provided LSAC with all the original documents + certified translations but I am a lil worried because I have received the documents by every single Institution/University and then send them all to LSAC.
What would you say?

Interesting question.. I believe my uni does send them, but I want to send my LORs as well.. so it would be better if I send them on my side.

Cris25, I sent all my transcripts + certified translations in one FedEx enveloppe, but every institution had enclosed the transcripts + certified translations in a sealed enveloppe with their signature on it.
It is not a problem at all if you send the transcripts yourself, if the enveloppes are sealed with the signature of the representative of your institution on it. LSAC accepted all my transcripts.

Hi!
I'm applying to NYU as well. I submitted by application today but it says on LSAC that they cannot release my law school report until they have received my transcripts. Just to clarify; is this no problem? Will NYU be able to see that I submitted my application on time even though the report may not be released for several weeks? Sorry to repeat questions, I just need some assurance :)

The problem is that I sent the original transcripts by myself with the certified translation and so on...but some foreing Institutions could not send me the envelope with the translation and the filled module. SO I have had to take the original sent me and trnslate it and legalize it...and consequently I could not send these transcripts in the original envelope...apart from the italian transcipts which were issued directly from those Institutions because I was present in person.
I really hope they will be fine because I consider them very important for my report

Yeah you are fine. As long as your application has been submitted before the deadline you are fine. NYU will wait for the report. My report won't be ready for at least another week or so, but most schools are fine with that as long as you were in before the deadline on the actual application

to be sincere I asked them about this concern and they told me that it is true that they will review our reports, but the fact of being reported late can place us in disadvantage comparing to other students
