Hi,
I have been offered USC (Gould), GW & Georgetown for an LLM. My concerns are as follow and would appreciate any help you could provide. I am interested in pursuing a career in Litigation/ADR. I have been admitted to the NY bar, but will probably go to Boston or CA (more likely)
- GW offers a dedicated programme (Lit & dispute resolution), but am concerned about its reputation/ranking, will the name open doors, or is it an waste of time
-Georgetown - great name, courses arent as practical orientated as GW, but will their name (GT) carry me further and if I go to CA will it carry for the firms there (work wise)
- USC - decent amount of litigation / ADR courses & in CA (a positive) but ranked between GT & GW, so seems like a poor substitute.
I would appreciate any help on making my decision (I also have a place in Duke), what should be my main concerns?
Thanks
MJE
