LLM in touro law school

preetpal

Hi
I am lawyer from India. now I am looking for admissions in some school Hofstra or Touro. Is there any body out there who can advise me .any current student who is pursuing LLM.
There is $13000 cost difference in Hofstra and Touro law school which one to go? and is it worth to spend your hard earned money?
Any scholorships for foreign lawyers?
Please reply
Thanks

Hofstra and Touro are similarly-ranked law schools. Hofstra is now in the top 100, while Touro is somewhere in the 100-200 range, but that difference hardly justifies paying an extra $13K for hofstra. Most schools give scholarships for foreign students based on merit.

US legal market is very tough because they are too many law schools and lawyers. Unless you are extremely accomplished in India I would not count on a Hofstra or Touro LLM to get you a good job. If you plan to return to India to practice and merely want to be exposed to the US legal system, then an LLM may be a decent idea, although that is pure speculation. But there are many unemployed lawyers in the US, most coming from lower-ranked schools such as Hofstra and Touro.
