I am from Brazil, work as a prosecutor for over ten years and am truly interested in the LLM experience with an emphasis in criminal law. There are many reasons for this interest but this is not what I want do discuss now. Reading a few posts I have realized that I have a somewhat different profile than most of the people here, considering that there a lot of recent graduates iniciating their professional careers. Anyway, the reason for this post is that although I have found a few good schools with quite interesting criminal courses in the USA, I have not seen an outstanding program that I say would be a reference in this particular area. Furthermore, I was not able to find a rank in criminal law schools, as there are in other areas. Can anyone help me with that? Are there criminal programs known for their excelence in an university that my research was not able to find? Thank you so much for the help!
