LLM Applications 2010/11

Dear all, I would appreciate it if you could help me with my applications for LLM Programs in the US(I am aiming for the NY Bar). I am not sure if I stand a chance to get admitted into the top 15 law schools. Please be brutally honest with me in telling me where to apply. (;
I graduated (LLBfrom the Netherlands) with not too brilliant grades (C+ on average). This year I'm doing an LLM (also in the Netherlands) where I will hopefully improve my grades. As for work experience, I did some part time work at a local law firm and I would say I have lots of extracurricular activities. No publications.
I woul like to apply to 3-4 Universities. Thank you!!

I doubt it with such grades,
law schools look at the undegrad grades not to grad.
when are you applying? this round?
if not get part time, volunteer and write a knocker personal statement, then apply for top-25-40 and you will be in.

Thanks Lisa_I! I think I will apply to Boston U, but still not sure about which other Universities I should apply to.
After talking to someon who did an LLM in the States, I found out that my grade average translates into a B- in the US, and not C. I guess it won't change my chances dramatically, but I was wondering if I would stand a chance to apply to a top 15 University as well. It would be great to hear from students who didn't have any stellar grades either and nevertheless managed to get into a decent University. Maybe someone can suggest one or two specific Universities who would accept me. Thanks!
