Hi guys,
I'm taking the International Tax LLM program at UF next year and I was wondering if some of you know how is the job prospects in USA nowadays. How was 2010 for the LLM students and what do you expect for 2011-2012?
Regards,
Guilherme.

Everyone's been saying it was no walk in the park...in that case, having a top 10 law schools llm gives you better chances as far as I understand.

I'd say none, even with top law schools.
My guess is good and lucky networking is what it takes...

Guilherme,
When did you find out you were accepted? How early did you apply?

J.D.'s from top U.S. schools still find it difficult to find work. They do find work, though. Anyone below about the top 10 without a J.D., I think, is still struggling massively. The U.S. is not the place to be right now.

Guilherme,

I found out on December 6. I think my application was completed by the end of October.

Yep, that's what I've been hearing too... I really think anyone aiming to work in the US should at least reconsider the LLM for a JD.
