Dear friends,
Pleased to furnish hereunder my brief particulars with a request to go through the same and consider answer my quesires:
Am a practising lawyer from India having got more than seven years of standing in High Court and other Courts in Civil, Criminal, Service, Matrimonial and other fields. Aged 37 years. Recently appeared for TOEFL and got 180-237 range (yet to receive marks). Got 58% in LLB and an average student (nearly 50%) in B.A. Also completed Shorthand Higher, Typewriting Higher and have got an exposure to MS-Word.
Prior to enrollment as an Advocate, worked as a Stenographer in the offices of ace lawyers for more than 10 years.
Economically backward and purely dependent upon either Scholarship / Sponsorship / Loan that may be provided. Would like to study an appropriate law course in USA like LLM, JD. When requested, one or two Universities replied that they would consider granting exemption from TOEFL. One or two Universities also offered to exempt me from pursuing three years J.D. and instead, offered two years J.D. by considering my LLB and work experience.
I have the following questions:
1) To which Universities, my Resume is suitable?
2) Subjects having got job demand and potential. (I have in mind: Intellectual Property Laws, Cyber Laws, International Law, Corporate Law)
3) Whether should I go in for LLM or JD?
4) Universities offering FALL & SPRING?
5) How to shortlist Universities?
6) Admitted candidates, could you kindly share your invaluable experience regarding doing LL.M. in U.S.A., funding, submission of applications during Fall or Spring, list of universities, subjects of demand, loan facilities, TOEFL scores accepted etc.?
Shall greatly appreciate your kind cooperation.
Kind regards
