If you're getting an LLM from a different state than ur JD, where do u take bar?

Should you take the bar in your JD state or your LLM state?

Or should you wait and see where you wind up working?

Thoughts?

Other people have to be faced with this choice. Especially all the non-NY people going to NYU's LLM.

I know that, but where would you take it? Say you're graduating from an Illinois JD and going to NYU for a Tax LLM. Should you take it in IL, NY, both?

You have time between graduating from law school and starting the LL.M to take a bar exam. Since you don't know where you are going to end up, I would just take the exam in New York. You won't be able to do both.
